School...

Well, the kids sure had school today at Gramma's! I was making Minestrone Soup for supper and I thought it'd be great to have some homemade bread to go with it. I love my niece, Faith's, Honey Whole Wheat Bread. It's similar to the complete whole wheat I made when my kids were growing up, but it is a lot easier recipe, and it's very, very good!

It was hard for Hunter to manage with his casts so it ended up just Jordy and Isaiah, and then Isaiah got more interested in playing in the water. Their kneading techniques were actually pretty good! Isaiah watches EVERY move when you're showing him something and tries to do it exactly the same...hence, the crossed hands just like I knead.

We also made Christmas ornaments. I copied them off the internet and printed them out on heavy paper. We colored them and then I cut them out and put hooks on them. Isaiah...no interest. Jordy...made a couple. Hunter...? an ornament making machine! Ho loved this project and made a whole pile.

one of Jordy's...and Hunter's below...

When the bread came out of the oven I thought I'd take it and show it to Jordy where she was watching a movie on Aunt Sara's bed, and this is what I found...a sleepy little baker!
